Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes...

"...these are a few of my favourite things!"

I've been listening to the Disney station on pandora this morning. Sound of Music snuck it's way in there and I couldn't be happier.

Reminds me of one of Chris's first camping trips with my family. We go camping a lot and there's sing-a-longs around the campfire most nights. We all broke out into every Sound of Music song we could remember...

"IIII am sixteen going on seventeen!" "How do you solve a problem like Mariiaaa" "Edelweiss...edelweiss" "Do-re-mi" "Cliiimb every mountain!"

Welcome to the Fam, love.

On a completely different note,I managed to decorate our mantle for St. Valentine's last week, so that's something...

Life has been very full as of late. I like full.

Full has come in forms of a Masquerade Ball...pictures to come...lunch date at Dicks Burgers...double date at Fosters Burger{same day!}, work, church, team meetings for a missions trip this summer, watching Friday Night Lights with the huz, cutting sugar out of my diet for a month, more work, more church, practicing piano and a little guitar!, making homemade pizza, Karaoke work party, braving the cold, lots of sitting in front of the apartment heater...missing family, craft night with a friend, Life as We Know It in theaters...loved it, helping to put on an amazing EP release show for my friend, Valentine's date, an 80's dance night at the Crystal Ballroom, lots of dishes, a beautiful hike around waterfalls {in which we walked back into a little cave behind the waterfall! I love Oregon}and more sitting in front of the heater...

And I'm sorry, but back to Disney:

A Whole New World, Supercalifragilistic, The Bare Necessities, Hakuna Matata, You'll be in my heart, and now playing songs from Enchanted...

Every once in a while, that's exactly what I need.

If this post is cheesy, I may have been influenced by the background music...

"Beeeee my guest, be my guest!"

  7. obsessed with your "love" banner - you are overflowing cuteness!!! cant...handle...it...

p.s. my sister and i have watched sound of music literally at the very least 100 times. every song and line is memorized (except i still cannot stand "climb every mountain." i often used to pretend i was liesel but i never was able to jump from bench to bench with a telegram boy twirling me around simulatenously. also the part where liesel says "WHHHEEEE!!!!" still weirds me out. that part was unecessary and super awks.
